People often do not know who to contact during an emergency.
Zimbabwe-focused emergency coordination
Response Aid connects people in urgent situations to verified nearby emergency responders for medical help, medical aid provider support, fire assistance, roadside emergencies, towing, rescue support, and other urgent needs.
Response Aid is being developed as a support and coordination platform. It does not replace official emergency numbers, government emergency services, hospitals, ambulance operators, fire brigades, police, or professional medical advice.

The Problem
When urgent situations happen, people need clear options, faster location sharing, trusted contacts, and better coordination between families, responders, and service providers.
People often do not know who to contact during an emergency.
Response providers can be hard to locate quickly when every minute matters.
Sharing an accurate location can be difficult during panic or stress.
Families may not know what is happening or who is responding.
Breakdowns, flat tyres, and fuel problems can leave drivers stranded.
Tow truck and recovery providers can be difficult to find fast.
Fire-related incidents need calm reporting, fast escalation, and guidance.
Schools, churches, events, companies, and smaller providers need better emergency planning tools.
About Response Aid
Response Aid is a digital emergency coordination platform designed to make it easier for people to request help, share their location, and connect with verified emergency response providers, including medical aid partners where appropriate.
Built for Zimbabwean communities, Response Aid can begin with structured emergency coordination in Harare before expanding as verified providers join the network.
Founder
Ms Shalom Gandanga is the founder of Response Aid. With qualifications in risk management, she is passionate about improving emergency response services in Zimbabwe and helping people access the right support faster during urgent moments.
Her vision is to build a trusted coordination platform that supports communities, emergency partners, medical aid providers, safety teams, and service providers with clearer communication and better preparedness.
How It Works
Select medical, fire, roadside assistance, towing, rescue, or another urgent support category.
Use the current location or enter a manual address so responders can understand where help is needed.
Available verified responders or providers near the user receive the request details.
The user, responder, and emergency contacts can receive status updates and coordination support.
During the pilot phase, some requests may be manually coordinated while the provider network is being built.
Services
Each category depends on verified partners, careful operating procedures, and proper escalation guidance.
Fast connection to nearby verified medical response, medical aid, or medical transport providers.
For fire danger, smoke, burning property, or fire-related safety risks where escalation is needed.
Response Aid does not replace official fire brigade services. Users should contact the relevant official fire authorities immediately in active fire emergencies.
For breakdowns, flat tyres, battery issues, fuel problems, and other roadside emergencies.
For vehicles that cannot be driven safely and need towing or recovery support.
Urgent rescue coordination, safety support, or connection to appropriate emergency partners.
Emergency readiness, medical standby, safety planning, and fast incident coordination.
Response Aid is designed to expand into more emergency support categories as the provider network grows, with each category requiring verified partners and proper safety procedures.
